The Human Resources Department
facilitates the entire Human Resources function in order to meet the needs of the hospital as well
as the employees and customers.
Provides the employment function for Millcreek
Community Hospital including: recruitment, selection, new employee orientation, and internal
promotion/transfers. Also maintains internal job posting, leave of absence, unemployment
compensation and coordinates advertising.
Maintains personnel files and records for
all employees. Provides the service of maintaining license and certification records on applicable
employees.
Provides the function of salary administration including annual
performance reviews/pay increases. Establishes pay ranges through surveys and approves new hire
pay rates in addition to salary changes due to internal transfers and promotions.
Provides the function of employee benefit administration for Millcreek Community Hospital and
Millcreek Manor to include: health, dental, and life insurance in addition to vacation, sick, and
personal days. Other benefits administered include pension and Tax Sheltered Annuity. Assures
proper COBRA notification is sent to all eligible terminated employees and their eligible
dependents. Periodic review of benefit programs and recommends changes when applicable.
Is responsible for the Safety Program at Millcreek Community Hospital and is chair of the Safety
Committee. Administers Workers’ Compensation program for the hospital and makes every effort
to provide a safe work environment.
